Appointments for physical exams have become a valuable commodity - patients are now scheduling their physicals 12 months in advance. Due to the amount of work that goes into each exam, a provider can only schedule a few of these each day. Lately, we have been noticing a lot of "no-shows" for these appointments. Each no-show is one less appointment time that we are able to offer to those in need. Therefore, effective March 1, 2010, we will be increasing the no-show fee for physical exams from $25 to $50 (the no-show fee for other appointments will remain at $25). We hope that this will promote better communication between office and patient as well as allowing us to serve you better with more timely appointments. A "no-show" is defined as either not showing up for one's appointment, or calling less than two hours in advance of one's appointment to cancel/reschedule.
